At Western Trading Company, we are committed to providing quality products and a seamless shopping experience. Below are the details of our shipping, returns, and refund policies.

Shipping Policy

  • Dispatch Times: Orders are typically dispatched within 1-3 business days from our Tenterfield warehouse. During busy periods, such as Christmas or public holidays, dispatch times may take up to 4 working days. Please note: If you request changes to your order after it has been placed, this may delay the dispatch date.
  • Delivery Times: Delivery via Australia Post typically takes 5-10 business days depending on your location.
  • Shipping Costs: Shipping costs start at $7.50 and vary depending on the size, weight, and destination of your order. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.
  • Large Orders: Orders exceeding 20kg may be packaged as multiple parcels, and shipping charges will be quoted accordingly. For very large orders, our website may prompt you to contact us for a shipping quote.
  • Prices: All product prices include GST. Shipping charges are calculated separately and are not included in product prices.Please note: We cannot always deliver furniture and large homeware items to all postcodes. Contact us to confirm delivery options to your area.
  • Shipping and Delivery Costs: Costs vary depending on what you purchase and where you live. Our aim is to provide you with the best value and most reliable shipping and delivery service possible.
  • Tracking Your Delivery: Once your order is dispatched, you’ll receive a tracking link via email to monitor your shipment through Australia Post.
  • Delivery Address: Please ensure your delivery address is entered correctly at checkout. Returned parcels due to incorrect addresses will incur a re-dispatch fee. Original postage costs are non-refundable.

Returns and Refund Policy
We aim to ensure customer satisfaction with every purchase. Below are the details for returning items to us:

1. Change of Mind Returns (14 Days)
  • Items must be unused, in their original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.
  • You can opt for a replacement, credit note, or refund (excluding shipping costs).
  • Return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns are your responsibility.
2. Faulty or Damaged Products (30 Days)
  • Notify us within 30 days of receipt if your item arrives faulty or damaged.
  • We may request photos of the damage to help process the return.
  • Options include replacement (if available), credit note, or full refund (including original shipping charges).
  • Do not return the product before contacting us, as unauthorised returns may not be accepted.
3. Sale Items & Normal Wear and Tear
  • Items sold on sale or marked down are not eligible for return unless faulty.
  • Returns due to normal wear and tear, misuse, or improper care will not be accepted.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Items must arrive at our warehouse within 10 days of your return being approved.
  • Products must be securely packaged to avoid damage during transit. Items that arrive damaged due to poor packaging may not be refunded.
  • Colour Disclaimer: While we strive to ensure product images accurately represent item colours, variations may occur due to differences in screen displays, lighting, and resolution. Change-of-mind returns due to color discrepancies will be processed under our standard Change of Mind Returns Policy.

How to Return an Item

1. Request Approval:
Contact us via email at enquire@westerntradingcompany.com.au or call 02 6737 3684 to request approval for your return. Be sure to include your name, order number, and reason for the return.

2. Secure Packaging:
Package the item securely with sufficient padding to prevent damage during transit.

3. Use Trackable Shipping:
Returns must be sent via a trackable shipping method, and you must provide us with the tracking number once dispatched.

Refunds and Credit Notes

  • For faulty or damaged items, refunds will include the original purchase price and any shipping charges paid at the time of purchase.
  • For change-of-mind returns, refunds will exclude the original shipping charges. Return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns are the responsibility of the customer.
  • Refunds will be processed once the returned item is received and inspected. Refunds are made to the original payment method and may take up to 10 business days to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider.
  • Alternatively, you may request a Western Trading Company credit note, which can be used for future purchases.
